Few things are as comforting as a loaf of warm, crusty bread. And when it’s one you’ve made yourself, it’s even more satisfying and rewarding.
The beauty of this particular loaf is that very little time is spent actively working on the bread. The vast majority of time is spent either leaving the dough rise, or cooking the bread in the oven. So it’s perfect to make while you’re off doing something else, like Sunday chores or just watching Netflix.
It’s very similar to a Paul Hollywood recipe, so you know it’ll be good — but, if anything, it’s even simpler, with fewer ingredients and fewer steps needed.
But once it’s done, you’ll love pulling it out of the oven and biting into a crunchy crust followed by the soft warm and fluffy bread inside. If you have kids, it’s simple for them to help make too — and they’re guaranteed to love the taste too. It makes a big loaf and also makes amazing toast. And another highlight? It’s not full of the additives you’ll find in mass-produced supermarket bread, so it’s much better for you and your children too.
