After successfully launching the Triumph Scrambler 400 and Speed 400, the brand now has unveiled the much-awaited Daytona 660 globally. The bike has already made its way to the international market (UK) with a price tag of 8,595 pounds (roughly Rs 9.08 lakh).
Motorcycles will be offered in three colour shares including an eye-catching ‘660’ race-inspired graphic colour.
Triumph Daytona 660 Features
The fully faired bike has been introduced with tons of advanced features, taking the third spot in the 600cc segment after the Trident 660 and the Tiger Sport 660.
The newly unveiled Daytona 660 shares a lot of similarities with its older sibling 675 model. However, the fully-fired vehicles undoubtedly carry its individual personality, giving tough competition to some of the top bikes in the segment including Honda CBR650R, Kawasaki Ninja 650 and the Yamaha YZF R7.
It features a fully split LED headlight setup, paired with an aggressive-looking transparent visor. It also seems like the brand has invested great efforts in every detail, making it look bolder and better in terms of road appearance.
It has been informed by the brand that the Daytona 660 has a kerb weight of 201 kg, which is heavier than the Trident 660.
Better Exhaust Note?
It comes with a split seating arrangement, featuring name badging on side fenders, and has a segment signature on the lower fairing. The bike also gets a brand-new exhaust, which is said to sound better than other siblings in the same segment.
Engine
On the power front, it has been given a 660cc liquid-cooled DOHC inline-3 engine, the same one that was seen in Trident. It generates a max power of 94 bhp at 11,250 rpm and 69 Nm of peak torque at 8,250 rpm. The unit is mated with a 6-speed gearbox and has a torque-assist clutch.
