From midnight on March 31, toll rates will rise on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway, the Eastern Peripheral, and NH-9. The one-way toll for cars and jeeps travelling from Sarai Kale Khan to Meerut will increase from Rs 165 to Rs 170. Light commercial vehicles will now pay Rs 275, while buses and trucks will face a new toll rate of Rs 580.
Toll Increase At Chhijarsi On NH-9
At the Chhijarsi toll plaza on NH-9, cars and jeeps will now have to pay Rs 175. Light commercial vehicles will be charged Rs 280, and buses and trucks will see their toll rise to Rs 590.
Higher Costs On Eastern Peripheral
All categories of vehicles will experience increased tolls on the Eastern Peripheral. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has issued a notification regarding these increases. Notably, tolls for goods-carrying vehicles with more than seven axles have seen the highest rise, at Rs 590.
Revised Tolls From Ghaziabad To Meerut
Currently, cars and jeeps are charged a toll of Rs 165 on the Meerut Expressway from Sarai Kale Khan to Meerut; this will now be Rs 170. The toll from Ghaziabad to Meerut will be Rs 75, up from the current Rs 70.
