Bryan Lee O’Malley’s beloved graphic novel series Scott Pilgrim celebrated its 20th anniversary last August with a pair of eye-catching–and very pricey–hardcover box sets. Prices for both versions have dropped since then, but Amazon’s current deal is by far the best yet for the remastered black-and-white collection. Fans can grab the six-volume set for only $74, which is a discount of 70% from its original $250 price. Alternatively, you can get the full-color edition of the 20th Anniversary Box Set for $116 (was $250).
Here’s what you’ll get with each box set:
- All six redesigned volumes of Scott Pilgrim with new art by Bryan Lee O’Malley
- Clamshell collector’s box with new art by O’Malley
- Exclusive compilation of “Making of Scott Pilgrim” comics and other materials
- Sticker sheet
- A selection of mystery collectibles Scott Pilgrim fans will recognize
- The choice between full-color and remastered black-and-white illustrations
Notably, the full-color version of Scott Pilgrim is only available in the 20th Anniversary Box Set. Even if you already own the series, this edition will offer a different reading experience. That said, the remastered black-and-white edition will offer the best way to read Scott Pilgrim if you want to retain the original experience. Both editions include a collector’s box with fonts that look inspired by the PlayStation 2.

Scott Pilgrim Precious Little Slipcase Collection
At the moment, the remastered set of hardcover volumes costs roughly $20 more than the slipcased paperback box set ($53). The Precious Little Slipcase Collection is Scott Pilgrim in its original black-and-white format without the enhancements found in the new box set.
Scott Pilgrim Print Collection (2004-2024)
Oni Press, publisher of the box sets, also created the Scott Pilgrim Print Collection 2004-2024 to celebrate the 20th anniversary. This box set of 9″ x 12″ full-color art prints released last September, a few weeks after Scott Pilgrim’s 20th Anniversary Box Set, and is available for $23 (was $30). The collection includes 21 “frame-ready” illustrations printed on cardstock.
In case you missed the Edgar Wright film adaptation or the graphic novels, Scott Pilgrim tells the tale of Scott and his quest to win the girl of his dreams, Ramona Flowers. The only problem? Her seven Evil Exes, former partners of Ramona, who stand in his way. Along the way, both Scott and Ramona come to terms with their past as their relationship grows stronger and they become more mature.
