If you’ve enjoyed Denis Villeneuve’s adaptations of Dune and want to spend more time in Arrakis, there’s an ongoing series of graphic novels that tells the story Arrakis leading up to the original Dune novel/film. Adapted from the Prelude to Dune trilogy by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson, the graphic novel series from Boom Studios kicked off in 2021 and will soon come to a close with the final story arc centered on House Corrino. Preorders for Dune: House Corrino Volume 1 are available now at Amazon ahead of its December 3 release.
If you need to catch up before December, Amazon has some solid discounts on the rest of the Prelude to Dune trilogy. You can also save big on the official graphic novel adaptation of Frank Herbert’s beloved novel that introduced Dune to the world.

Dune: House Corrino Vol.1 is a 112-page hardcover collecting the first four issues in the House Corrino comics arc. Vol. 2 will conclude the series with the final four issues, but no release details are available yet.
You’ll learn more about House Corrino, and how it once played a massive role in the fate of the universe.
The Prelude to Dune graphic novel series was adapted by the original author’s, Brian Herbert (Frank Herbert’s son) and Kevin J. Anderson, with full-color illustrations from Simone Ragazzoni.
You’ll want to read the first two story arcs in the prequel trilogy before diving in–check those out below.
Prelude to Dune Graphic Novel Trilogy
The Prelude to Dune trilogy starts with House Atreides and is followed by House Harkonnen. Those two arcs are split across three volumes each, all of which are discounted in hardcover format at Amazon. House Corrino will be the shortest of the three adaptations at two volumes. The series leads directly into Frank Herbert’s original Dune novel, so if you want to learn more about the backgrounds of major houses featured in the films, the graphic novel series is certainly worth trying–especially since it was adapted by the original authors.
Of course, if you’re new to Prelude to Dune, you may want to read the original novels first. They are a bigger time commitment, as House Atreides and House Harkonnen eclipse 750 pages each, while House Corrino is just shy of 700 pages.
Dune Trilogy Adaptation
Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson also wrote a three-part graphic novel adaptation of the original Dune novel. The first two books are eligible for Amazon’s current B1G1 50% off books sale, so you can get two great graphic novels for only $23 (combined list price is $50). If you add the third one to your cart, you can get all three for $38, nearly 50% off the combined $75 list price. It’s worth noting the first two have deluxe versions with slipcases and high-quality matte pages. Though they aren’t eligible for Amazon’s promotion, you can still save a bunch of cash right now.
