Mangaluru’s Sasihithlu beach to host India Paddle Festival

The India Paddle Festival 2025, an international stand-up paddling event, will be conducted at Sasihithlu beach in Mangaluru from March 7-9.

A media statement said that ‘Incredible India’ of Union Ministry of Tourism, and Karnataka Tourism have extended support as the ‘Presenting Partner’ to the event for the first time.

Organised by the Surfing Swami Foundation and Mantra Surf Club, the second season of India Paddle Festival will witness more than 40 stand-up paddlers competing for top honours in a sport that is rapidly gaining global prominence.

Quoting Salma K Fahim, Secretary, Karnataka Tourism Department, the statement said: “Karnataka Tourism Department is proud to support the India Paddle Festival, a celebration of adventure, community, and the spirit of water sports. By backing this event, we aim to promote our pristine coastline and foster a culture of outdoor activities that bring people together. The India Paddle Festival not only showcases the beauty of our region but also highlights the talent and dedication of athletes from around the world. We are committed to nurturing such initiatives that boost adventure tourism and inspire future generations to explore the wonders of Karnataka’s waters.”
