The Great British Bake Off is back on Channel 4 and to celebrate the start of the cosier seasons, shoppers have spotted a deal on ‘one of the best mixers you can buy’. The Kenwood kMix Stand Mixer is a stylish and practical addition to any kitchen and it has been slashed in price at Amazon.
For a limited time, the pistachio green colour is reduced to £241 down from £450 and the apricot pink version is down to £259 from £400. Saving customers hundreds off the popular mixer, those that miss out on the Amazon deal can also find the silver version on sale for £260 from £480 on the Kenwood website.
With a capacity of 5 litres, the stand mixer includes a full-set of baking tools such as a beater, balloon whisk and dough hook. From making bread to mixing cake batter, the 1000w motor allows users to create dishes like brioche and mousse.
When it’s time to tidy up, the mixer and baking tools are all dishwasher friendly and the mixer has been hailed as so ‘attractive’ that is is ‘far too pretty to hide away’. One customer that had ‘intended to store in a cupboard when not in use’ decided to keep it out on the side as it ‘looks amazing’.
Great British Bake Off fans might have spotted the contestants using KitchenAid stand mixers and this Kenwood pick has been called ‘just as good’, according to a shopper. Home cooks with a KitchenAid on their wish-list can save £50 by shopping at Lakeland where the pastel green colour is on sale for £499.
For a cheaper alternative, Dunelm’s 800w Stand Mixer is £55 and comes in black or cream. Shoppers say it is ‘a really good mixer for the price’ and it ‘looks great on the counter’.
Leaving reviews for the Kenwood mixer, one person wrote: “I absolutely love my mixer. It’s the best decision I’ve ever made. It’s also so good in kneading dough. And it’s just a big help in the kitchen as I love to bake.”
Someone else noted that it ‘can be a bit messy when removing the attatchments’, however, another customer left feedback writing: “Perfect machine and does the job with ease and smoothly without so much hassle. Sturdy frame and movements. Made bread, cake, biscuits and others with no problems. Looks really nice and classy. Totally recommend.”
Highlighting it as a good investment, a five star review says: “Bought this to replace a much earlier model which had outlasted its best, (20+ years old). This is the best mixer in the market, with an excellent guarantee, and is a quality and well made kitchen essential.”
