What are the Hades 2 system requirements? Rarely do games only offer a minimum baseline that you will need to beat, but Hades 2 is one such game, at least for now. The follow-up to the hugely successful action roguelike may change its specs throughout early access, but we don’t see it becoming a problem provided you’re not gaming on a moldy potato.
While you may proudly own one of the best graphics cards, Hades 2 makes it clear that such power isn’t necessary. Like its predecessor, the requirements are easy to clear even for near decade-old machines, to the point where, right now, there isn’t even a specific gaming CPU featured in the specs.
Here are the Hades 2 system requirements:
| Minimum | |
| OS | Windows 10 or later |
| GPU | Nvidia GeForce GTX 950 AMD Radeon R7 360 Intel HD Graphics 630 |
| CPU | Any dual-core 2.4GHz processor |
| RAM | 8GB |
| Storage | TBC |
The Hades 2 minimum requirements, well, only requirements at this point in time, ask that you own any dual-core 2.4GHz processor and pair it with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 950 or AMD Radeon R7 360 graphics card, both of which will turn nine years old later this year.
These mid-range graphics cards came with 4GB and 2GB of GDDR5 memory and cost just $159 and $109 at their respective launches. How times have changed. The 8GB RAM requirement is on par with many indie games, and while you could probably even get away with less, it’s best to err on the side of caution.
There are no Hades 2 recommended specs, but this may be down to the fact that the game is still in early access, and developer Supergiant Games is awaiting feedback and data from players to determine where to set the bar. The original Hades game did eventually adopt more traditional system requirements with minimum and recommended levels with specifically listed components.
Likewise, there is currently no confirmed Hades 2 download size, but we estimate the game should land at around the 20GB mark at most, just like the original. That means even just a 1TB SSD should provide ample space for this game, even if you’ve packed it full other other games and data.
