A gardening tool that shoppers have praised for its effectiveness and versatility is on sale with a double-discount offered. Thompson & Morgan’s Cordless Trimming Shears retail at £39.99, and are on general sale for £27.99 at Yimbly.
Yimbly is an emerging marketplace owned by The Express’s parent company, Reach Plc. Consumers can get a further 10% off using the discount code SUMMERDAYS10 at checkout (valid until the end of July).
This takes the total price down to £25.19. The cordless device can be used to style hedges and lawn edges. It has a compact design and weighs 0.8kg.
The grass shear blade has an 80mm cutting width, while the trimming blade will cut hedges, shrubs, and bushes up to 8mm in diameter. The tool can also be purchased directly from Thompson & Morgan, where it’s on sale for a slightly higher price of £29.99.
Elsewhere, B&Q has a similarly priced device in the form of the Handheld Cordless Hedge Trimmer (£24.99). It’s ideal for use on shrubs, topiary, grass and pruning.
Over at Amazon, customers can find a Flymo Contour 500E Electric Grass Trimmer and Edger for £60, which was £69.99. It’s made with a telescopic handle, which is easy to adjust to the user’s height.
Returning to Yimbly’s Thompson & Morgan’s Cordless Trimming Shears, one person said: “This is a very handy tool for trimming bushes and shrubs. It was quite hard to fix the cutters, but I will probably only use the larger blade. Charge holds for quite a long time.”
