Moss can spring up in a myriad of places, including spots where it might appear unsightly, like your patio or lawn.
Taking to TikTok, Brian Wohl, who often uploads home improvement videos, shared his “easy way” of getting rid of moss on stone steps, as stone steps that are “loaded with moss” are “very dangerous.”
The expert explained that if these steps get wet, you could potentially slip and fall.
He said to use a wire brush and simply begin to clear away the moss. “It comes up so easy,” he said. He said that you can also pressure wash the steps as an alternate method.
Though, he cautioned doing that as it’s “very messy and could erode the gravel away under the stone.”

He showed off his results from using the first method mentioned, the wire brush, and said that the steps were now “safe to walk on.” The moss on the steps had been completely eradicated.
Mohl went into depth about why the moss should be eliminated and more.
He said: “Moss can be a beautiful sight in nature, but when it starts to grow on stone steps, it can become a serious safety hazard.
“The build-up of moss can make steps slippery, causing people to slip and fall, leading to injuries. This can be especially dangerous during wet or rainy weather.
“In addition, moss can cause the stone steps to deteriorate over time, leading to costly repairs.
“To avoid these dangers, it’s important to regularly remove moss from stone steps and keep them clean and dry.”
