Fresh green grass in the summer looks vibrant and lush, creating the perfect place to enjoy the longer days and warmer weather. Unfortunately, dog urine can leave yellow big patches that can damage that beautiful lawn.
When our furry friends relieve themselves in the garden their pee contains high levels of nitrogen and salts which can burn the grass. In an effort to keep gardens looking glorious, Amazon shoppers think they might have found a solution. Envii Neuturine Natural Dog Urine Neutraliser for Grass is a monthly treatment that makes grass look as good as new, priced at £16.95 for a six month supply from Amazon.
The lawn treatment is designed to repair and prevent damage caused by dog urine. It works by using billions of beneficial bacteria to break down excess nitrogen, the main cause of lawn burn that creates yellow or brown patches. When applied regularly, Neuturine helps maintain a healthy, green lawn by preventing the buildup of harmful nitrogen levels.
The formula includes a blend of natural bacteria and added seaweed which not only aids in breaking down the damaging compounds but also supports new grass growth. Ideal for use before or after seeding, it help promote lush patches where the lawn has been damaged.
Neuturine poses no risk to pets or wildlife. Each package contains 12 tablets that are easy to use.
If they aren’t quite right, Amazon is also selling a range of alternative products for garden lawns, including the Dog Patch Grass Seed from Avern, now reduced to £12.49. Designed to repel dog pee, the patch repair promises to make new grass green again.
Elsewhere, B&Q is selling a 5kg bag of GardenersDream heavy duty grass seed for £32.49. Representing value for money, the product is suitable for lawns and play areas once stains and brown patches have been repaired.
Another good choice for those with four-legged friends, is the Pegdev Pet Friendly Grass Seed, available for £17.20. Touted as ‘low maintenance’ it boasts “fewer bare patches” with a strong ability to bounce back from pet-related wear and tear.
Frustrated Brits who have already tried the Envii Neutrine Tablets have left glowing reviews on Amazon. One buyer said: “I cannot believe how brilliant this product is. It does what it says, my grass is looking 100% better. Recommend this amazing product.”
Another added: “These are amazing only after 1 use my grass has returned to it beautiful green again. It was really patchy before and so safe for my dogs”
A third was impressed with how quickly it worked saying: “This product is brilliant! We had quite a few brown patches on the lawn but after just one application all of the burn marks have disappeared and the lawn is looking lovely and green again.”
Some buyers were not quite so impressed. One three-star review said: “After 3 applications nothing much has happened to our lawn but we will persevere,” and another added: “Tackled some patches well but failed on a larger patch. Probably good value if you get the formula and the magic just right.”
Overall, dog owners seem impressed with the easy to use solution. Another five-star review summed it up, saying: “I bought a heavy duty sprayer with a pump to keep in the back yard. My pup goes out two to three times a day and there is not a spot on the lawn. One tablet for two gallons and one tablespoon of sugar. I’ve used this product for one one month and thats about 60 times my pup has gone in the yard. Not a burn mark!”
