Creamy Cranberry Salsa Dip

A creamy cheese dip with a fresh cranberry and jalapeno salsa!

ingredients
  • 12 ounces cranberries
  • 4 green onions, sliced (or 1/4 cup red onions, diced)
  • 1 jalapeno, stem and seeds removed and diced
  • 1 lime, juice and zest
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro, chopped (optional)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (warmed)
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 3+ tablespoons sugar (or honey) (or to taste)*
  • salt to taste
directions
  1. Pulse the cranberries, green onions, jalapeno, lime juice and zest, and cilantro in a food processor until it forms small particles but not so much that it turns to a liquid.
  2. Whip the cream cheese, sour cream and sugar until smooth and creamy before mixing in the cranberry mixture.
  3. Mix in the sugar followed by salt to taste and enjoy!

Note: I like a hint of sweetness to balance the tartness of the cranberries and mild head of the jalapeno, but you can add more to make it a sweet dip or you can omit it for a completely savoury dip!
