Special features haven’t been revealed yet, but the official art does confirm that it will include 4K and standard Blu-ray versions of the film. Tommy Boy is one of several classic buddy comedies starring Farley and David Spade. The duo star as traveling salesmen on a mission to save a dying auto parts business. Farley’s black belt in slapstick comedy is perfectly juxtaposed against Spade’s snobbish straight man routine, and with the duo finding themselves caught up in several bizarre situations, you’ve got one of the best comedy movies of that era, remastered in ultra-high-definition. The film also starred Brian Dennehy, Dan Akroyd, and Julie Warner.
If you don’t feel like waiting, the Tommy Boy standard edition Blu-ray is available now for just $10 at Amazon.
For more upcoming Blu-ray releases, you can also check out several other classic films being released soon. Kaiju fans can grab a Criterion Collection version of the weirdest Godzilla movie, the first season of Dune: Prophecy is now available to preorder, and a whole bunch of Quentin Tarantino movies are getting 4K Blu-ray releases.
