Fans of Netflix’s Arcane will soon be able to own the complete series on 4K Blu-ray and/or 1080p Blu-ray with collectible steelbook cases. The second and final season of the League of Legends animated series releases on October 21 in three different editions. Just like last year’s Blu-ray release of Season 1, there are two unique Season 2 Steelbook Editions featuring protagonists Jinx and Vi. The 4K Limited Edition Steelbook has Jinx on the cover, while the 1080p Steelbook features Vi. Preorders are available at Amazon for both Steelbook Editions as well as a standard Blu-ray.
With Amazon’s preorder price guarantee, you’re eligible for any discounts offered after placing your order. Speaking of discounts, Arcane Season 1 is still on sale for Prime Day prices. The 4K Steelbook of Season 1 is up for grabs for only $23.49 (was $60), and the Blu-ray Steelbook is $28.49 (was $55), which is actually even cheaper than it was during Prime Day.
You can read more about Arcane Seasons 1-2 on Blu-ray below. If you need to pass the time before Season 2 arrives, The Art and Making of Arcane is on sale for over $20 off at Amazon. There’s also the best-selling official tie-in novel called Ambessa: Chosen of the Wolf, which is available in hardcover and paperback.
$23.49 (was $60)
Arcane Season 1’s 4K Steelbook features Jinx cover art and is on sale for $23.49, down from $60. This edition comes with three 4K discs and a standard Blu-ray disc with special features.
It’s rendered in upscaled 4K resolution (2160p) and supports Dolby Vision and HDR10. For sound, it supports Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround.
Arcane Season 1’s physical editions include the full nine-episode arc and three hours of special features. Fans can go behind the scenes of Arcane with exclusive conversations involving key creative talent and writers, numerous scene breakdowns from the animation staff at studio Fortiche, making-of videos, and more.
Here’s the full breakdown of bonus features:
- Bridging the Rift: The Making of Arcane
- “Making Mel” featurette
- “Happy Progress Day” scene breakdown
- “When these walls come tumbling down” scene breakdown
- Ekko vs Jinx: scene breakdown
- “The monster you created” scene breakdown
$28.49 (was $55)
As mentioned, the 1080p Steelbook Edition of Season 1 is more expensive than the 4K right now. But this $28.49 deal is a new low price, so if you want both steelbooks in your collection, now’s your chance to get them for cheap.
You’d spend $52 combined on the two Steelbook Editions, which is slightly less than the original MSRP for this one on its own.
$39.45 (was $60)
This 224-page art book initially sold out before its December release and remained out of stock for a few months. The current deal price doesn’t have a listed end date, so fans may want to snag it while they can.
Along with a wide assortment of never-before-seen concept art, the book contains over 20 interviews with key team members who created the show.
The hardcover book comes with an acetate dust jacket with exclusive artwork shown above.
The cover itself inverses the illustration’s color scheme. The fancy dust jacket isn’t the only premium feature here. Inside the book, you’ll find fold-out spreads focused on Seasons 1 and 2, a poster featuring Jinx, a full-color, removable Piltover map, a replica in-world blueprint, and a recreation of the Vander Letter.
$60 | Releases October 21
Like Season 1, Arcane Season 2’s 4K Steelbook features Jinx on the cover and carries a $60 retail price. Though it hasn’t officially been confirmed, with Season 2 clocking in at nine episodes and just shy of six hours, it’s very likely that this is a four-disc set with three 4K discs and a 1080p disc with bonus features.
It should support Dolby Vision and HDR10 and have Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround Sound.
$55
The 1080p Blu-ray Steelbook Edition of Season 2 featuring exclusive Vi cover art is up for preorder for $55 at Amazon. It’s likely a three-disc set with Dolby TrueHD 5.1 Surround Sound and the same bonus features found in the 4K edition.
$45
Season 2 is also getting a standard 1080p Blu-ray edition with cover art featuring eight characters from the show. This edition mirrors the standard Blu-ray Steelbook, just with a plastic case and cardboard sleeve.
With elaborate and imaginative animation, production on the sequel series took a long time, but the second and final season did eventually make its way to Netflix last November. The streamer released the nine episodes of Season 2 in three acts (three episodes per week).
Set in the League of Legends universe–the massively popular video game franchise developed by Riot Games–Arcane follows iconic League champions Vi and Jinx as they get caught up in the power struggles between the utopian city of Piltover and the oppressed underground city of Zaun. The show debuted back in 2021 to critical acclaim for its storytelling, incredible animation, and getting that one Imagine Dragons song stuck in your head for several months.
