Everybody knows it’s best to use proprietary Apple products to charge their Apple devices (or so says the company) when maintaining optimal battery life. However, that doesn’t stop some users from resorting to off-brand options — like the HuffPost reader-favorite 3-in-1 charger design — to save a few coins. But today, I’ve found a good deal for Apple purists and non-purists alike: the official Apple MagSafe charger is only $29.99 on Amazon right now.
This little gadget has a 1-meter-long cord and wirelessly charges those pocketable Apple devices (with the exception of the AirPods 4) just by setting it on its dock. According to our price tracker, this newer version of the MagSafe charger that we’ve previously covered is on sale for the first time since February — and historically, discount on these chargers have not stuck around for long.
Several users say the Apple MagSafe charger provides fast wireless charging and its magnetic backing ensures that Apple products snap into alignment when docked. It’s not bulky, either; this is just a 1-meter cord that can plug into your MacBook or a USB-C port and a small charging hub fit for iPhone 12 up to the latest iPhone 16 and any Apple AirPods with charging cases, excluding the AirPods 4. The MagSafe Charger charges up to 15W when paired with a 20W power adapter.

“Absolutely love this thing. It charges my phone and AirPods so fast! I will note that I tried using a regular plug I had laying around the house and it was very slow. I did some research and ended up buying a 30w fast charging plug from Anker and now this thing charges so fast!! The magnet hold on really well and I have to really want to take my phone off the charger for it to come off. I have noticed that the first 10 mins or so my phone gets a little warm but nothing I’d consider crazy. Overall it’s worth every penny I paid.” — MikeT89
“Perfect length of wire. Works really well ! I’ve been using it everyday for months and it’s perfect.” — Aiden Yang
“Works great. This is the first time I’ve used a MagSafe charger rather than plugging my phone in every night. It seems to charge the phone very well and I don’t notice any heat coming off of it. It sure beats finding a plug and plugging it in every night. The magnet is very strong and you need to slide the unit sideways off the phone as it’s a bit difficult to pull off. Can’t speak to how long this will work but it has no moving parts so I suspect it should last a long time. I’m very happy with it.” — Larry M.
“This is the handiest charger for my phone. It can plug into my computer, or into a charging station, or into a power block that accepts USB-C connectors. Quick charge and a long enough cord to still talk when it is charging.” — Discriminating Buyer
“Typical Apple product – works well, great quality. Exactly what I expected. Bought a second one.” — JR
