Lone Wolf and Cub is a landmark manga series by Kazuo Koike and Goseki Kojima that ran from 1970 to 1976. The saga follows Ogami Itto, a disgraced samurai who becomes a wandering ronin after a rival clan sabotages his reputation with false accusations, leading to the death of his wife. The warrior sets off on a journey of vengeance with his three-year-old son, Daigoro. At the same time, Itto’s quest sees him emerge as an unlikely hero among the people of Japan, and he faces a reckoning as the consequences of his violence while he attempts to raise his son as a single father. The series is lauded for its exquisite artwork and gripping story, and this deal is the perfect chance to check it out for yourself.
While Fanatical’s deal is the cheapest way to get the full Lone Wolf and Cub series, the physical editions are still worth picking up if you prefer a tangible format. Lone Wolf and Cub Deluxe Edition Volume 1 launches on December 9, while Volume 2 is set to release on March 24, 2026.
You can also watch Lone Wolf and Cub on your TV, as the manga was adapted into a series of live-action movies that were released between 1972 and 1974. The entire collection is available on Blu-ray for $75 (was $100).
