BMW India has launched the fourth-generation X3 at the Auto Expo 2025, with prices starting at Rs 75.80 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 20 xDrive petrol variant and Rs 77.80 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 20d xDrive diesel variant.

Bookings for the all-new X3 are now open, with deliveries set to begin in April 2025.

The new X3 is available with mild-hybrid petrol and diesel engine options, both powered by 2.0-litre four-cylinder engines. These are paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and BMW’s xDrive all-wheel drive system. The petrol variant delivers 190 bhp and 310 Nm of torque, while the diesel version produces 197 bhp and 400 Nm.

The fourth-gen X3 is slightly larger than its predecessor, measuring 4,755mm in length (up by 34mm) and 1,920mm in width (up by 29mm), though it’s 25mm lower in height (1,660mm). The wheelbase remains the same at 2,865mm.

The new design incorporates BMW’s latest styling cues, inspired by the Vision Neue Klasse X concept, featuring a bold, illuminated kidney grille, slim headlights, and a sleek body with rugged wheel arches. The SUV also sports a fresh design for its alloy wheels.

Inside, the 2025 BMW X3 boasts a modern, high-tech cabin with BMW’s curved display, which combines a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a 14.9-inch driver display. The iDrive 9 system, seen in the current X1, powers the infotainment setup. New features include a meshed fabric dashboard, heated sport seats, and a flat-bottom steering wheel.

Standard equipment includes wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, park assist, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated powered front seats, four-zone climate control, and a reclining rear bench.

In terms of rivals, the BMW X3 competes with the Mercedes GLC (Rs 76.80 lakh-77.80 lakh), Volvo XC60 (Rs 69.90 lakh), and Audi Q5 (Rs 66.98 lakh-73.79 lakh).
