Another day, another Epic Games Store free game. This time it’s Kill Knight, developer and publisher PlaySide’s hyper-aggressive top-down shooter, which is well worth a shot if you’re in the market for something that’s a bit Doom meets Diablo 4.
Kill Knight is an isometric, ultra-violent hack-and-slack/shooter hybrid with gnarly retro stylings and a propulsive soundtrack. It’s a challenging and enjoyably arcadey action game, and it’s also very new, having just launched back in October of this year. It tasks you with hunting down the last living angel and turning hordes of monsters into gooey stains on the floor while chasing leaderboard spots.
Given it’s so new, Kill Knight is still receiving regular support from PlaySide, with its latest update from December 18 adding fresh weapons, equipment, and a lore codex.
You can grab Kill Knight from the Epic Games Store for the low cost of nothing until tomorrow, December 29, at 8am PT / 4pm GMT, at which time it’ll be replaced by another free PC game.
