There’s a pretty simple way to get a speedy broadband upgrade without paying a premium price. All you have to do is move away from a standard fixed-line connection and switch things over to a mobile signal instead. Three has been offering this type of broadband for a while but the UK network has just confirmed that it’s making this service cheaper in time for Black Friday.
The price update means you can get fast 150Mbps downloads for just £19 per month. As a quick comparison, Sky has a deal that offers similar speeds for £27 per month and BT is offering that same connection for £29.99.
That means moving over to a 4G or 5G signal rather than a fibre connection could save you £120 per year.
Other benefits of Three is simple set-up with the firm sending out the router in the post. You then plug it in to get started. The deal also comes with unlimited data and there’s a 30-day money-back guarantee if you don’t like it or the speeds aren’t up scratch.
You do have to sign up for a 24-month contract although you can pay £28 per month for a rolling month-by-month term which lets you can cancel at any time.
The only thing to check is how strong the Three signal is in your area as this will determine if they can provide you with web access and how fast it will be.
