Martine McCutcheon shares weight loss tips after transformation without a ‘crazy diet’

Martine McCutcheon, who suffers from various health conditions including chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia, recently spoke out about how she has improved her overall health.

Back in 2021, the 47-year-old spoke about losing weight on The Cambridge Diet Plan, which involves eating calorie-controlled food.

However, the actress has now said she has ditched the diet and is now doing what works for her best.

She said: “I just feel like it’s really important to encourage women to just be the best version of themselves.”

After trying out the diet plan, Martine now follows her own rules, with one rule she swears by to help her keep in shape.

This involves eating vegetables at every single meal as well as snacking on fruits throughout the day.

“For 80 percent of my week, I will mainly have just healthy proteins, vegetables and fruit, organic and veggie juices, and Flora spread,” she told Best Magazine.

For the other 20 percent of the week, Martine said she will have treats but it has taken her a long time to figure out what works for her.

She added: “It’s not just as simple as going on a crazy diet.”

The actress took a slow and steady approach to weight loss after giving birth to her son in 2015 after she said she wanted to feel healthy again.

Martine worked with a consultant while on the diet plan to help guide her after she needed to stake a steady approach to weight loss due to her Lyme disease.

She said this “played havoc” with her body and added that her loss was a tiny bit slower than the average person.

“It took me a long time for me to become a mother with a lot of obstacles. My body went through a lot of changes as a result. Women’s bodies are complex and sensitive,” the actress told Hello! Magazine.

Gregg Wallace is also someone in the public eye who has lost an impressive amount of weight over the years.

The MasterChef host lost nearly five stone “without dieting” by ditching snacks, ultra-processed foods as well as takeaways.

The presenter also said following strict diets is “hard to maintain” and it is better to opt for a lifestyle change instead.
